At Soul Root Wellness, I believe that healing doesn't have to be complicated or overwhelming. Sometimes, the most powerful shifts happen in stillness, in quiet moments where your body and mind are finally given permission to rest.

What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word itself translates to "universal life energy." This energy flows through all living things, and when it's balanced, we tend to feel more grounded, clear, and at ease.

When it's blocked or disrupted, we may experience stress, fatigue, or emotional heaviness.

Reiki works by helping to restore the natural flow of energy in the body. It's not about forcing change—it's about allowing your system to return to a state of harmony in its own time and way.

How Can Reiki Help?

One of the beautiful things about Reiki is that it meets you exactly where you are. Every experience is different, but many people come away feeling deeply relaxed and more connected to themselves.

What Happens During a Reiki Session?

A Reiki session is simple, comfortable, and completely non-invasive. You remain fully clothed and typically lie down on a treatment table in a peaceful space.

During the session, I gently place my hands either directly on or just above different areas of your body. Each position is held for a few minutes, allowing energy to flow where it's needed most.

What You Might Experience

You might feel warmth, tingling, or a sense of deep relaxation. Some people see colors or have emotional releases, while others simply drift into a calm, meditative state.

There's no right or wrong way to experience Reiki—your body takes what it needs.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, Reiki offers something different: a chance to simply receive. To pause. To reconnect.
